Description

Soft, bite-sized energy balls with oats, banana, and just enough sweet binder to hold them together. Great for a quick boost before your workout nutritious, portable, and no baking required.

Ingredients (makes ~15 bites)

Instructions

  1. Mash banana with oats

In a bowl, mash banana and mix with oats. Adjust oat amount as needed for consistency

  2. Warm the binder

Briefly warm peanut or almond butter in the microwave (about 15 to 20 seconds) to soften, then add honey or syrup and vanilla if using

  3. Mix everything together

Combine oats-banana mix with the binder and any add-ins. Mix until uniform

  4. Form the bites

Use firm pressure (like making a snowball) to roll into 1- 1½ (one and half ) inch balls. If too sticky, chill for 30 minutes to make easier to roll

  5. Set them to firm

    • Let sit at room temperature on a tray for a few hours before freezing or storing.
    • Or refrigerate for at least 30 minutes
  6. Store

Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days, or freeze individually on a tray then bag for longer storage. Keep out a few minutes before eating
